Imagine your wife carrying your child for nine long months, does she live a life of her own while pregnancy? She is constantly carrying the bundle of dreams you both had alone, without any complaints. Shouldn't you take care of her? I'm not saying that hire a nurse for her or any scrutiny maid who would never help her but make her life worse. What I'm pointing to is give her love, be by her side, even if she knows it, but still say it! Searching on the internet about "Needs of a Pregnant woman" and "what a pregnant woman needs" all I could find was diet regimes, exercises, doctor visits etc. To my surprise there wasn't even a single article mentioning the role of the would-be father! If you are a would-be father, don't think your responsibility ends when your wife says she has a good gynae, or don't limit your responsibility by just taking her to the doc.

Let her sleep on your lap, cook for her, call up in the middle of the day just to tell her how special she is and the list goes on! Why should the wooing and you-are-special feeling end when the girl say yes? Shouldn't it rather increase after that? But the gloomy irony is that as soon as the girl says "I Love You Too" the special attention vanishes!

Make a note, that she does not feel while carrying the baby. Her emotions will affect the baby's growth and psychology too! So in a way, if you pay good attention to her while she's pregnant, you are also getting attached to the baby!

A point that I would like to add here, what is "she" isn't your wife yet and just a girl-friend. While she's going through a low patch or her menstrual cycle, make sure you be there by her still, making her feel as needed as otherwise!
